Beat the Backlist Challenge 2017

Hello everybody – 2017 is here, and it’s time to start some reading challenges! I know it’s halfway through January already, but I have been very busy, and so over the next few weeks I will be sorting out which reading challenges I want to do this year.

The first challenge I have signed up for is the Beat the Backlist Challenge. This challenge is essentially to get as many books off of your TBR list as possible – the list of books of want to read just gets longer and longer, so this is perfect!

I have decided to set my goal to read 15 books this year that were printed before 2017. I hope I read more than this, seeing as I’m generally not great at keeping up with new releases anyway. I haven’t fully solidified which will be the 15 I read, but here are a few I will be starting with:

Anyone who may want to get involved in this amazing challenge, you can find out more here or visit the Beat the Backlist Challenge Twitter page here! And please let me know if you are also doing this challenge, or any other one!

I have read 8/15 so far!
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (READ 16/7)

When We Collided by Emery Lord (READ 11/2)

Lying About Last Summer by Sue Wallman
The Museum of Heartbreak by Meg Leder
Unboxed by Non Pratt

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (READ 16/2)
1984 by George Orwell (READ 11/7)
Love and Other Man-Made Disasters by Nicola Doherty (READ 11/2)

Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Blame by Simon Mayo
Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven (READ 02/04)

Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare (READ 22/1)
The Smell of Other People’s Houses by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock
