This powerful and engaging discussion from Annabelle, blogger at Obstinate, headstrong girl begins by discussing the parody of Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey and how people have failed to see it for what it really is: a mockery of sexual assault. She then goes on to talk about the toxic attitude people take towards women speaking up about experiences with sexual assault, naming other examples of this in the media. It is incredibly well written, and presents an argument that I have not thought about before, at least not from this perspective.

I truly think this blog post is eye-opening, and one that everybody needs to read. In fact, Annabelle’s blog has an abundance of feminist discussion posts, as well as plenty on the Bronte sisters and other really interesting topics, so she is an excellent person to follow!
